Own the IP.
Remix the future.
Community DAOs that buy, or take over, film, TV, games and NFT projects, then open them up for a generation of AI filmmakers to remix across Splice, Studio and Unreel.
How it works
The main DAO
Canon
Council-run at launch. Approves every proposal, can co-invest or propose, and takes a fee plus 1% of every IP DAO it launches.
One per IP
IP DAO
Raises the money, holds the claim on the IP, and votes on licences, sequels and sales. Its token, launched through Etch, carries governance plus a revenue share.
Optional, downstream
Licensed uses
Anyone can remix a Canon IP in Splice for free. A Studio show or a commercial release can license it; the licence pays the IP DAO.

The lifecycle of an IP
- 1
Propose
Any creator submits a property: a film, a series, an indie game or an NFT project, with a price and a remix plan.
- 2
Council review
Canon checks chain of title, the seller, the price and legal sign-off. Takeovers also need the owner's signed handover.
- 3
Raise
Fixed target, fixed deadline, all-or-nothing. Miss the target and every backer is refunded.
- 4
Acquire
Automaton Ltd signs the purchase or handover and holds title for the IP DAO.
- 5
Token live
Backers receive IP DAO tokens pro rata, then a trading pool opens.
- 6
Remix and license
Creators remix it in Splice for free. Shows and commercial releases license it, and that revenue flows back to the IP DAO.
The catalogue
Owned by the community
Nothing acquired yet. The first IP lands after the first successful raise.
